Are black raspberries the same as blackberries?

In a word, no.

Black raspberries (rubus occidentalis) are a variation of raspberries that are found only in a few geographic regions in the world. They are very different than blackberries as they have much higher levels of antioxidants and other active ingredients that are of benefit to a person's health.

Where do your berries come from?

All of our black raspberries come from our small group of partner family farms right here in Oregon. We do not import any of our berries.


How do I store my products?

Generally speaking, all of our products have a very long shelf life and can be stored in a cool, dry place before opening.

For our black raspberry extract, we highly recommend storing the product in a refrigerator after opening a bottle to extend the shelf life.

For our powders, we recommend squeezing the air out of the bags and making sure the ziplock is completely sealed between uses.

Are your products Organic?

Our products are not certified organic, although this may change in the near future. We are firmly committed to providing our customers with black raspberries that are not only of the highest quality and phytonutrient level, but are also extensively tested for quality and safety.

Because BerriHealth's black raspberries are used in numerous human clinical trials and research projects, we are very careful to make sure that we test our berries for any trace of pesticides or other chemicals. Even if a farm does not use pesticides themselves, there are plenty of potential ways for their crops to be contaminated (a strong wind and spraying at a neighboring farm, for example). Basically, we grow our berries the right way, and then prove it with our testing through an excellent independent lab. BerriHealth also makes sure our berries consistently have high levels of the healthy phytonutrients that our black raspberries are known for worldwide.

How many berries are in a serving?

Each serving of black raspberry powder or extract is made from over 20 berries. Our gummies contain around 10 berries in each one.

Why don't you sell black raspberry capsules?

To put it simply, black raspberry capsules are not backed by clinical research and do not contain enough black raspberry powder to be nutritionally significant. Capsules in fact are a detriment to the benefits of taking black raspberries in the case of mouth and upper GI issues, because they limit direct contact with affected areas. What are my options for ordering your products?

We highly recommend placing your order online via your account. It is the easiest way to get your Loyalty Program discounts, track your orders, and check out all of our products. However, if you do wish to place an order over the phone, we can do that too! Give us a call at (888) 761-8407 (press 0 at the menu) and we will take care of things from there.

Do you  have wholesale options?

If you are passionate about health, wellness, and intigrative medicine, we would love to work with you on bringing black raspberry products to your customers. We also do have a wholesale program for universities and researchers.

My order has missing or damaged product, what do I do?

Please contact us with your name and order number and we will get this fixed right away!

Why is my coupon code not working?

We try and pass as much savings on to our customers through our loyalty program, so we rarely have coupon codes for our products.

If a code is not working, it is usually because of one or more of the following:

  • Your account has access to Loyalty Program pricing. Our loyalty program offers the best pricing available and, unless explicitly stated in the offer, cannot be combined with any coupon codes.
  • The coupon has expired.
  • The coupon is not available for the item you are trying to purchase.


Where is my order?

To make sure you placed an order, log into your account and then look at your order history. It should let you know if your order went through and the fulfillment status. You should also get an email when your order is placed, and again when we ship your order. This shipment notification will contain the tracking information for your package.

Sometimes packages go missing. If you have not gotten a shipping notification within 3 business days of your order, contact us immediately. If you do not receive your package within a week of it being shipped, please let us know so we can initiate a report with the package carrier.

Long story short, we try and get you your order within 7 business days at the latest. If it takes longer than this, we need to know so we can take care of it for you!

Do you ship internationally?

We do not ship internationally except to Canada.

If you are in a country we do not ship to, many of our customers use myus.com or other shipping forwarders, which is a service that combines and forwards orders from US companies to your location.

Please note that you are responsible for making sure any product you order is not restricted in your country. You are also responsible for understanding and paying for any import fees, customs, and/or taxes on any order you make. These costs are not included in the shipping price.

How much is shipping?

We want to get our products to you quickly, so we use USPS Shipping for all domestic shipments. You should receive your order within 2-7 days of it leaving our shipping location. So how much is it?

Can I ship using another carrier?

USPS is our default shipping option. It is fast, consistent, and has great tracking for our customers. We do understand that sometimes in certain instances, customers can only get delivery from specific companies, and we will do our best to accommodate those needs as they come up. If you would like to use another option not listed via checkout, please contact us directly.

How long does shipping take?

We ship all of our orders via USPS First Class or Priority Mail, which is usually a 2-5 business day shipping time. We try to get all orders shipped within one business day of when they are placed, but orders may take up to three business days to ship. There are always exceptions, especially during the holidays and to locations outside the contiguous United States.


What is your return policy?

We will always do our best to do right by our customers. If you have placed an order in the last 30 days and wish to return unopened product in new condition, please contact us. We refund your order upon receipt of unopened and undamaged products.

If you receive a product that is damaged, we will work with you to replace it. We work hard to make sure our products are of the highest quality, and that is what you should expect to receive.

How do I return an order?

Please contact us and we will provide you with specific return instructions for your order.

When can I expect my refund?

Refunds are issued to the card or account used to place the order when your return is recieved and processed by us. Once a refund is initiated, it can take 1-3 business days to show up on your statements.
