An Easy, Blender-free Way to add a Blast of Berries to Your Protein Shake.

Protein shakes are a great way to get some extra protein into your diet.  Unfortunately sometimes it is hard to get very creative with what you put in a shake, especially if you are at work, or want to drink one right after a strenuous workout!  With this recipe, you can easily mix in healthy black raspberries into your everyday protein shake to give it that extra dimension of taste, without even using a blender!  You also get the extra benefit of having an extra boost of anthocyanins to help your immune system and give you some extra anti-oxidant power.


  • One serving of your favorite protein powder with milk or water.
  • 2 teaspoons Black Raspberry Powder


Add both the protein powder and the black raspberry powder to a bottle with a tight lid (for shaking!) and give the bottle a few small shakes with the lid on before adding any liquid.  This will help minimize clumping.  Then add in either milk or water, but use 4oz more water than normal to account for the addition of the black raspberries. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds, or until the powder has been completely mixed into the liquid, then enjoy!
